Somewhere around 2014-ish  I began to ponder the realm of 3D printing. It fascinated me on every level. I imagined all the cool things I would print- the main object of my imagined possibilities a Mountain Dulcimer. In this case an “8-String” dulcimer. I have never seen an 8-String Mountain Dulcimer so I think I might be the inventor haha. Anyway- I held off on actually buying a printer for nearly a year. Instead- I spent many hours (days even) researching all the review forums, and try to better understand the process as a whole. I knew how to model something in 3D but I had never modeled for printing.
I finally reached a point where I simply had to have one on hand- it was the only way I could really start experimenting and seeing what the technology could do. So in May of 2015 I bought a Lulzbot Taz 5 from Matter Hackers and started on a journey that has been both incredibly cool and undeniably frustrating. But overall… truly amazing. It’s going to take a bit of time to get all the projects uploaded but I’m going to give it a try.
